    "My second GL-iNET cellular router and I love it. Was previously using the 4G GL-XE300 Puli and it performed really well but I wanted to get the full 5G from my SIM (plus some extra features) so I went for it. . . and I'm not disappointed. Predominantly used as a cellular failover for my ER707-M2 router on EE FTTP. This model has a second SIM slot so I plan to get another network's SIM so I have not only cellular redundancy on the network but also provider redundancy. I work from home so can't afford to be offline. Pros: Extremely easy to set up. I put my EE SIM in slot 1 and the auto-setup process found it, 'dialled' out and that was it, connected! A ton of settings that can be configured to suit your requirements; this is a very capable standalone router. If you just want a cellular router due to situation, location etc. then look no further. Very robust build, exceptionally solid and good quality manufacture. Good looking unit, very clean and well thought out. 2. 5GB WAN and 1GB LAN ports. 2 x physical SIM slots and the option for use of eSIM (I have not tried this yet). Comes with wall mounting bracket and hardware. As you can see from the image, the 4G to 5G difference is considerable. Signal strength inside the house is 4 out of 5 bars. I know I am quite close to a mast (as EE have been to fix it so many times) so that obviously helps. 5G and wi-fi signals seem to be very stable and issue-free. Cons: None really, my only comment is it is quite chunky and large with all antennas fitted if you plan to carry it about, however, I don't believe there is a better portable router out there so this is more personal opinion than actual con. This device can be put into IP Passthrough/bridge mode via SSH - this is a game changing feature for me as I can now treat it like a normal ISP via my home network router (ER707-M2) and remove any double NAT etc. While I found references to this on the 'net, it was only when I contacted support and received the full command, that I was able to get it working. For those who want this feature, SSH into the router and run - curl -k ***127.0.***/rpc -H 'glinet: 1' -d '{"jsonrpc":"2. 0","method":"call","params":["","netmode","set_mode",{"mode":"passthrough","mask":"auto","mac":""}],"id":1}' If done correctly, the router will light the power, internet and cellular icons on its display panel. Despite the passthrough mode, you can still connect to the GUI via the IP that was set for the router originally, so you have the option to return to router mode via the GUI, or using the reset button. I am now hopeful for an updated version with a touchscreen, like the new Slate 7. That really would be 'ultimate' 5G travel router for me."
